  • Advantages of Li-ion laptop battery
    1. The energy is stored in the laptop battery through the movement of lithium ions. Lithium is the third lightest element, thus Li-ion laptop battery is much lighter. A key advantage of using Li-ion chemistry is the high open circuit voltage that can be obtained in comparison to aqueous battery.

    2. Li-ion battery does not suffer from the memory effect. Self-discharge rate of laptop battery is quite low.
